The HIAT institute is specialised on research and development in the field of hydrogen and fuel cell technology. Particular attention is paid to the development of cost-effective and resource-efficient products and processes for commercialization of fuel cells, electrolysis cells and their components. Based on the development of these components, we are able to design and construct complete systems.

The intention of HIAT is to enlarge the scientific know-how in the fields of fuel cells and hydrogen technology by developing innovative and technological solutions within promoted projects, that offer ready-to-use knowledge for new products.
The output of our research and development efforts serves primarily the applied contract research.
The HIAT is focussing on application-oriented system solutions based on »Fuel Cell/ Electrolysis Cell« for specific power ranges for portable and quasi-stationary applications.
